Our Story
On February 17, 2026, my wife was in a bicycle accident. She broke her jaw in three places and her dominant wrist. After emergency surgery, her jaw was wired shut and she couldn't hold a pen. She needed to communicate with nurses, doctors, and family — but had no way to do it.
That night, I built TapToSpeak. The next morning, she used it to talk to her care team.
TapToSpeak was built from a real patient's need, by a caregiver who watched the gap between “patient can't speak” and “hospital has a solution” firsthand.
